This is my first bowl thrown on the wheel since I have been back in ceramics this year. There is clearly aspects that still need to be relearned and improved but for being my first project since I've been gone I am happy with the result. A new skill i tried on this project was pulling the wall without a sponge on the hand on the outside. Although I know pulling a wall is supposed to be done this way anyways, I have always found it easier with the use of a sponge. An art element i utilized was through the color. I did this though making the outside of the project light with drips of dark color seeming to flow from the inside of the project and over the sides. As for design this bowl is a fairly open bowl, with shorter walls that sort of flare out. Almost a plate looking bowl. When I look at this project I get a relaxed yet sharp mood due to the light and dark colors.
