This Wheel bowl project is by far my favorite project I've made. This is because of the glaze. Instead of the normal glaze I used the Raku, and I think it turned out great.

One key skill I feel I have finally learned is the foot ring. In the past it has been something I struggled with but now it is much easier and more fluid. The design element i used was dripping the glaze from the lip over the outside. Creating the illusion the color had filled the bowl and seeped over the edge. The stark difference in color provides the art element.

We spent about a week making it, and although I have made coil pots before, I practiced was able to practice a bit and found it is a little harder than I remember. One of the major art elements we used was negative space seen at the bottom of the project. To me, the projects weight seems to be held up by the small spiral coils. Aside from that, the other most obvious art element is the color, we used both normal clay as well as red clay. The coils itself are the design element because it gives the surface texture.
